Panels

We're not just showing movies; we also have engaging panel discussions with filmmakers and actors. Hear what they have to say in:

- Asian Americans in Hollywood: A Celebrity Panel

- Lights, Camera, ACTION! An Instructional Panel

Both of the above programs take place at the Brickstone Salon, located inside the Doubletree Mission Valley Hotel. Admission is $5 online or $6 at the door.

Free Screenings

The following two film programs are free as part of our "Brickstones After Dark" program, and do not require tickets:
Friday, Sep. 30, 7PM
FACE
In FACE, police--hot on the trail of a serial killer who burns away the flesh of his victims with acid leaving only the bones behind--turn to Hyun-min ("Shin Hyeon-jun," Hi! Dharma 2), a former forensic sculptor adept in reconstructing faces by examining and interpreting skulls.

Saturday, Oct. 1, 8PM
ONE MISSED CALL
Takashi Miike, rapidly becoming the world’s most prolific and controversial filmmaker of such extreme thrillers as "Audition," "Ichi the Killer" and "Visitor Q," now explores the darker, deadlier side of the most personal, convenient and reliable tool of your everyday existence--your cell phone.

The following is a free screening at the UltraStar Mission Valley:
Sunday, Oct. 2, 12PM
REEL VOICES: A HIGH SCHOOL DOCUMENTARY SHOWCASE
A reception immediately follows this program, sponsored by Chipotle
