Onsite Tickets

Starting September 25, you can purchase festival tickets in person at the UltraStar Mission Valley box office, located at the Hazard Center (formerly Mann Theatres). But if you want to save money and avoid the lines, we advise you to buy tickets online.

Online Tickets

During the festival, many film programs get sold out. So the best way to ensure you get to see the film of your choice is to purchase them online. Plus the more you buy, the more you save! All online tickets are $2 off the regular box office price. Tickets are available for purchase until midnight September 23. Individual tickets are available for purchase from the Film Schedule.

NOTE: There is a $1.50 processing fee for online purchases up to $11, and a $2 fee for purchases above $11. All tickets are non-refundable.

Tickets purchased online on or before September 21 will be sent to you via First Class Mail. Tickets purchased online after September 21 will be held at the SDAFF Will Call table, located inside the UltraStar Mission Valley during the dates of the festival.

Festival Four Pack $25
A good option for those who want flexibility and to save money. A Festival Four Pack allows you to pick four films of your choice during the festival. You simply show the UltraStar Mission Valley box office your Four Pack Card, tell them which films you want to see, and they will punch out a hole in your card for each film you redeem. You can choose any film program or multiple tickets to the same program, so long as that program is not sold-out.

* The Festival Four Pack is most beneficial when used for programs during our opening weekend (Sep 30 - Oct 2) or for our closing night film.

Sold-out Screenings / Rush Line
When a screening is sold-out, there are usually some “Rush” tickets available at the theatre. Some seats are held for passholders and sometimes not all of these seats are used. Once it is determined how many seats are available, we release them as “Rush” seats for sale to people in a “Rush Line.” This line forms anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours before the showtime outside the theatre box office.
