Got a great idea for an SDAFF TV commercial? For the the third year in a row, Anheuser-Busch is sponsoring SDAFF's Michelob Light Flicks Competition. Make a 30-second commercial that captures the spirit of the SDAFF. Finalists' work will be streamed on our website and the winner will be awarded $1,000 from SDAFF at the 2006 SDAFF Gala in October.
Rules and Entry Information:
- The film must promote the San Diego Asian Film Festival, have the SDAFF logo in the film, and have placement of Michelob Light product. The film, however, does NOT need to be about beer. Creative and positive integration of the product is encouraged.
- We encourage entries be as creative as possible while capturing the spirit of the SDAFF. Filmmakers are also encouraged to keep the tone and theme as positive and tasteful as possible.
- Entries must be submitted on DVD or mini DV, and cannot exceed 30 seconds. They will be judged by SDAFF programmers along with a representative from Anheuser-Busch. Entries that are longer than 30-seconds will be eliminated. Entries must be submitted by September 1, 2006.
- The winner will be announced by late September on our website. www.sdaff.org. The SDAFF will pay for the travel and housing expenses for the winner to attend the SDAFF and our gala awards dinner, Saturday, October 14, 2006.
- The winning film will be shown before the opening night and closing night films. We will also show the top 4 short films at the gala, and A-B will participate in the SDAFF check presentation for $1000 to the winning filmmaker.
- The top 4 entries will be streamed on our website in September.
- Previous winners of this competition are ineligible to apply.
- All entrants and winners agree to allow Anheuser-Busch to post/stream their respective short films in total or any portion thereof on www.asianbud.com and/or the Michelob website for a period of no less than two years and by mutual agreement for any time thereafter.
- All entrants and winners agree to allow Anheuser-Busch to use their likenesses for promotional purposes related to Michelob Light support of the SDAFF and the Michelob Light Flicks competition. This includes photos on press releases, www.asianbud.com and the Michelob website.
