Asian films at Sundance this month

"A Thousand Years of Good Prayers," February 19
Join us for our first quarterly screening of the year on Thursday, February 19. By the director of "Joy Luck Club," "A Thousand Years of Good Prayers" is a wonderful, nuanced film involving the complicated relationship of a Chinese father and his American daughter. We're expanding our annual film festival to two weeks this year at the Hazard Center UltraStar, October 15-29, which means it will be our biggest one yet, so clear your calendars. Free SDAFF On Demand now
For digital Time Warner and Cox customers we have a few film programs available for free viewing from our 2008 festival including "Reel Voices," our high school documentary films showcase, and "Reel in the Vote," a collection of films about getting out the vote to Asian Americans. Warner Bros. picks up SDAFF film for distribution
Director Gene Rhee just announced his feature, "A Trouble with Romance," which screened at SDAFF '07, will make its world premiere via On Demand/Pay Per View on February 1. Four very different stories of romance, one hotel. Starring our friends Roger Fan and Sheetal Sheth.
